  • Unapologetic Power: You will step boldly and unapologetically into the exact assignment and calling God has placed on your life.

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7

Hello all! I’m Coralia. I’m in Fred and I attend the Spotsy Lifepoint campus. I am looking to find my authority and identity in Christ. I’m some what new to my walk with the Lord and the attacks are numerous and big, but I am here to learn deliverance and healing. I know the Lord has big plans for me, I just have to meet him there. Looking forward to this group.

@sarah and everyone

When I had my daughter through C-section, I was left paralyzed or better called as spinal paralysis. I never got answers as to why this happened. Everyone just told me that my previous back issues (herniated disks and spinal stenosis) were the cause. Two days after my c-section, a neurosurgeon gave me a consult at the hospital and told me that if I did not do an emergency double laminectomy that I would never walk or use the bathroom on my own again. He said I would have still needed surgery to put a bag on my stomach, if I did not at least try the laminectomy. However, he happened to be the best neurosurgeon, I saw it as a blessing in disguise since I had been living in pain for that condition since I was 14 years old. He canceled his fights the next morning and performed the surgery. After the surgery, I was able to recover my function from the waist down, but I was left with a foot drop on my right foot, and a partial food drop on my left foot. It took me 2 years to walk independently, again. I knew I needed to walk again for my daughter, so I tried my very best. Fast forward 5 years, I am still pain free. Although with a big limitation on my feet, I am pain free, and I knew that was the biggest blessing. I did not get my full leg/feet function, but I got no pain and good enough legs to get me through. At the beginning I used to cry because I knew that limitation would limit my motherhood, the things everyone is able to do with their kids, but I have never let that stopped me. My daughter and I are one big team. It is she and I against the world. It never occurred to me to pray for a miracle on my foot because I was so truly blessed to be pain free from it. However, in a couple occasions in the past 2 months, I told my Lord that if he ever had a different plan for me, that I would be so grateful, but that wither way was fine. That his will would be done. This week while I was at Chuck E cheese (I am there twice a week), a lady and I started to talk about our kids and all of a sudden, she started speaking about God. Then she said she had a few surgeries including a surgery that had fixed her foot drop. I told her I had a foot drop as well. She gave me a name of a doctor in LA and spoke to me about her other surgeries. She maintained how blessed she was to still be walking and moving. I never got her number because we both got distracted by our kids. The next day, I found myself sobbing in the bathroom as I scrolled through the doctor's page. Seeing how people who had the same problem where able to flex and use their foot again. At that moment I was sad for not exchanging contacts with her. That SAME evening, I went to the movies with my daughter and guess who was seated 3 chairs away from me, her! She said she saw me and got really happy because I was wearing my Freedom shirt and she knew in that moment we went to the same church and followed the same faith. To me it was two blessings, her number and experience and a hope of having a chance at a normal life again. And for her it was a signal to finish freedom this fall since she had to pause last time due to a surgery she had to have done.  I am still processing this. I am praying is God sent and not the enemy playing me and distracting me. Long winded answer, but context is everything.

Feel free to introduce yourself by sharing one interesting fact about you. I'll go first: I am a huge science and history nerd. I love learning about how the body was made so perfectly and how the light of Jesus works inside every part of our being- body, heart, and soul. Right now, I am researching and learning about the nervous system. I have looked into scriptures about the structures and functions of our soul and how they connect to the body. Sisters, I cannot say this enough: you are beautifully and wonderfully made!
